Raising the Standard for Peptide Companies: Why I Built BioGlow
Hi! I’m Savannah, founder of BioGlow. I first dove into the research space after a back injury last spring (nursing isn’t for the weak!). Steroid injections, physical therapy, rest, and anti-inflammatory medications weren’t providing the relief I needed to get back to work. As the frustration continued to build, the peptide community showed its face on my algorithm – and at this point, I was willing to try anything.
When I first started exploring the peptides, I quickly began to understand that it was more than just the hype. I was fascinated with what I was learning – from the peptide molecules themselves, to research studies, and to the protocols that others swore by. It was overwhelming, but from the start, I had a feeling the research community was onto something life-changing.
Savannah's POV of the Research Space
While I would be naive to think the research community didn’t have flaws, it didn’t take long for the red flags to reveal themselves – ones that had potential to create some serious consequences. Three of the major issues I noticed: minimal resources for beginners, unaffordable costs, and lack of transparency from research peptide companies across the board. I spent months studying these issues, why they were happening, and what I could do to improve the industry that I had grown to love!
Here came the vision: I wanted to build a company that would focus on these 3 issues for the best research experience possible.
Red Flag #1: no explanations or understanding for the beginners
BioGlow is primarily geared toward newcomers of the industry because I understand how confusing and overwhelming the space can be, and quite frankly, most research companies didn’t have this idea in mind. If a company doesn’t explain basic terminology or reconstitution, but pushes straight to sales & the checkout — that’s a sign they want your money.
Red Flag #2: unrealistic pricing
Price alone does not determine quality.
Costs associated with running a reliable peptide company – lab testing, sourcing, marketing, packaging, etc – are quite an investment. Extremely low pricing could be indicative of the company cutting corners in regards to important details such as these. On the other end, excessively high pricing doesn’t guarantee stronger standards or better products. In fact, I’m disappointed that some of the pricing is for profit margins of 400-500%.
BioGlow was built to balance accessibility & affordability because our integrity is more important than making a buck.
Red Flag #3: lack of transparency
If you’re remotely questioning a company’s testing, sourcing, knowledge, or standards, that should stop you in your tracks.
Transparency is foundational in any company or brand. In research, specifically, reputable companies should clearly provide Certificates of Analysis (COAs) of all products that you can easily verify. You shouldn’t have to wonder if this person actually understands the science of peptides and lives it. The company should prioritize more than marketing their sales.
At BioGlow, transparency isn’t a marketing angle — it’s a standard. Access to testing documentation and clear, honest communication that directly reflects company values should be the minimum, not an option.
So, what's in it for you?
At the end of the day, you deserve clarity — not overwhelm or confusion. My goal has always been to make education feel accessible and standards to feel normal. If you’re going to step into research, you should feel informed, supported, and confident in the company you’re sourcing from.
Thanks for reading a little deeper into why BioGlow isn’t “just another peptide company.” Why does that matter? Because your research deserves a basic foundation.
As always, glow responsibly.
